Job Posting Service

AUPresses Job Posting Service

The Association of University Presses (AUPresses) has launched a paid Job Posting Service for individuals at non-Association member presses and organizations that meet our eligibility requirements and other guidelines. These eligible non-Association members now have the opportunity to post positions on the AUPresses Job Site for a fee.

Note! The complimentary posting of jobs continues to be a benefit to AUPresses member presses. Individuals on the staff of a member press who have registered for a UP Commons account are able to fill out the Job Submission Form or visit My Jobs to manage postings.

Eligibility

The AUPresses Job Posting Service is open to the following non-Association member constituents:

  • AUPresses Partners (current year: April 1-March 31);
  • AUPresses Annual Meeting Sponsors and Exhibitors (current year: April 1-March 31);
  • Non-profit research, education, arts, and cultural institutions; and
  • Small and independent academic publishers (scholarly publishers who meet our membership criteria in terms of peer review process and professional staffing, but are not affiliated with a not-for-profit institution, and whose revenues are under $10 million).

If you have a question about whether you will qualify, contact jobs@aupresses.org.

Fees and Payments

The fee per job posting is $120 for a sixty (60) day listing. The default expiration date is sixty (60) days from the date of posting; job posters have the option to select an expiration date different from the default for the same flat rate of $120. There will be a $15 service fee should AUPresses have to reject the listing should it not meet the Job Posting Service guidelines.

Policies and Guidelines

Posting must be compliant with AUPresses core values, Code of Conduct, and any Job Listing Service policies outlined here, as well as applicable laws and regulations. If a listing is submitted that is not in compliance, it will be rejected. The paid posting fee, minus $15 processing charge, will be refunded for any rejected listings. If a listing is learned to be out of compliance at any point after it has been accepted and posted, the posting will be immediately removed and no refund offered.

Listing Requirements

The listing form requires certain fields to submit a paid listing. These fields include salary or wage range, contact address to display on the listing, and an administrative contact for the Association’s use. The AUPresses Jobs List is not open to unpaid positions, and accepts position listings only within the following broad categories: Acquisitions Editorial; Business/Administration; IT/Digital Publishing; Journals; Manuscript Editorial; Marketing; Press Director; and Production & Design.

Posting Procedures

If your organization meets our eligibility requirements and other guidelines, please submit your paid job posting via the Job Posting Service Form. Association members can view the Job Posting instructions for information about posting procedures.
